WILD Sweet Treats

We created some WILD Sweet Treats for our children's last week of school for the teachers! I used the Shabby Miss Jenn cupcake wrappers as my template and used her Wild Animals Kit. I placed them in a take out box and created a card & pen set with the Wild Animals kit.

Shabby Miss Jenn and I must have been thinking about the same thing that week....later in the same week, she created her WILD ANIMALS, Vol 2 kit. Both kits are very cute & there are lots of wild goodies to match in her shoppe!

Hybrid Baseball Snack Jars

There is something fun about going to baseball games....my father took me as a child. Today, as I was making these yummy baseball snacks with the new "Batter Up" kit from SMJ's, I had the opportunity to tell my son about who Babe Ruth was as well as go to five (yes, five) stores with him looking for Big League Chew....I loved that stuff when I was a kid. I thought every store sold it. What a fun Mother-Son time together.

We bought the jar with the silver lid at Target. We created a 10"x2" wrapper as well as a second wrapper the same size with only the background paper and overlapped the two wrappers over one another on the sides of the jars. I printed on glossy photo paper. We added the Big League Chew & Baby Ruth Candy Bars to the jars. Mmmmm....

Hybrid Crayon Tin

I have been wanting to come to the Shabby Miss Jenn's Team Blog to post some of my hybrid art and life has been busy....so I hope to start making an appearance here. I'm Kristi and I loooooooove to make hybrid items out of ordinary items or items that would normally be thrown away that can be re-purposed.

While in Texas on a road trip, I went to a little small town in Whitesboro, Texas that had a great scrapbook store. I bought a tin from the Tim Holtz collection and thought of creating it for our kids to hold their crayons in on road trip (instead of getting them all over the car).

I used Shabby Miss Jenn's {Earth Day Kit} and sized the wrapper 3"x11"@ 300ppi. I printed it on cardstock (for thickness) and wrapped it around the tin. I have found that the best glue for tins is glue that will glue to metal. The thickness of the paper allows the glue without wrinkling the paper. The Crayon Can is a quick hybrid item.

Book Name Plates

Another easy little hybrid project that is really quick and so neat for personalizing your little one's books is to make name plates. I created the name plate with Shabby Miss Jenn's little Autumn Flea Market Volume 2 papers and elements. Cut them out and glued them onto the little Golden Books.

Halloween Hybrid Projects

I made a few little Halloween hybrid projects that I would love to share with you. They're easy and quick to make. First we have a little set of magnets, I bought some rounded corner magnet material 3x3 inches and printed out some little halloween themed pictures, traced the magnet shape onto the paper and cut it out, glued on the papers and voila, something cute for your little punkins. I used elements from SMJs Bag O' Tricks and Treats with papers from the Boo and Autumn Flea Market Volume 2 kits.
